"Buddy The Elf, What's Your Favorite Color?"

Dear Someone,

It's the Christmas season and everyone is gearing up for the morning that you finally get to rip open all those presents that have been sitting under the tree just taunting you all month.

However, I think the best part of Christmas are the days that are leading up to the big day to be quite honest.  Get's you excited :D

Sitting around, drinking hot chocolate, making cookies, eating far too much and telling stories about past Christmas's. All very important.  Yet... My favorite thing are the Christmas movies.

My favorite?
I have to say is Elf starring Will Ferrell and Zooey Deschanel.

I used to not like it (like most people) I can see why, it's just a little weird first time around.
But once you just embrace the Christmas loving man who grew up as a elf his whole life and just wants to find his real family, you love it :)

How could you not eventually want to watch this movie on repeat????
It's cute, whimsical, and makes you just smile :) Also, there is love.  Love is aways needed in a movie if you ask me.

But you know what my favorite part it?

When Buddy takes Jovie (Zooey Deschanel) out on a date and takes her to all the places he thought were cool when he first came to New York.

Yes, some of the places he took her were rather lame but, the fact that he wanted to share that with her is cute, and expresses his feelings for her in a way that most guys wouldn't really think to do.
But, it also takes a special kind of girl to go along with it and have fun out on the date like she did.

Yes, sit down dinners at a fancy place with a piano playing in the back ground with candles lit everywhere is exciting but... There is something that seems more appealing to me about having a little adventure.

One where it's just about going random places and pure fun.  No plans, no reservations, just showing up somewhere and making a night of it, driving around and getting lost together and stumbling upon something new.

It's getting to know the other person, if you drive or just walk around.  You end up feeling up the night with stories after stories.  So really, adventures do two things for ya.

1. You get to know each other really well and also have fun on top of it with out it being supper awkward.
2. You now have a supper cool story to tell you're friends that just might make them jealous from the seer cuteness of your evening with the fella ;)

I don't know, it seems like the best way to fall in love in stead of some right-off-the-bat incredibly intense romantic relationship.  Fun seems more relaxing and easy to manage.

Anyway, back to the movie!
They had an adventure and fell in love.  That's what I like about that movie... That and Buddy found his dad and saves Santa on Christmas Eve... That was also good :)

... favorite line in the movie... :)

Their little Adventure around New York :)

Pausing Video Games to Reply = LOVE ;)

Dear Someone,

Going back and rereading past text messages that make you get butterflies all over again are the best, I must say.

You don't want to, but you can't help it.  It happens to anyone who has a spare moment to kill.  So, you end up pulling you're phone out quickly and scanning through them from the beginning.

Looking over them, you can actually let them sit longer in you're thoughts because you are not in a panic to think of a witty reply with on  the spot.  You get to actually soak up what the words say on your little phone screen.  Making it next to impossible not to blush and smile like a kid on christmas morning.

Well, that's the good part at least.

Being able to go back over them can also be a curse.  Being a teenage girl with hopeless romantic fantasies of this guy being your Prince Charming, they tend to read too much into it. And honestly, I know everyone has done that, can't deny it.  It happens to the best of us unfortunately...

Yet... You can't help but slightly freak out when you had asked him what he was up to and he replied saying "Playin xbox. You? :)"

Everyone knows that if a guy pauses his video games to text you back or at all... There is defiantly something going on his end ;)

Which I must say, makes it even harder to not read into the winky faces, asking how you're really doing when you say "I'm fine", and texting you when they get home after y'all hung out and wants to talk for hours on end even though you talked all night while being together.

Can't really blame you're self for building up that hope!

Yet, there is always that dreadful fear that, he might not actually like you.  He's just being a really good friend. Or, just doesn't see you like that and actually just likes talking to you and the feelings aren't there.
Those thoughts are inevitable to avoid.  Even if you were 99.9% sure he liked you.
That .1% can get ya.

But come on... Texting you while playing video games??
Kind of a big deal. ;)

Seriously, he loves you ;)
