Ok... Maybe Just a Little More Then a Tiny Bit.... :)

Dear Someone,
Short story. Jason's perspective.

"So.. Do you think Stella would um. Go out with me?" Adam asked as we walked down the main stair case at the school.
I stopped and spun around on my heals to looked at him, "What?"
"You know," Adam took a few more steps, reaching the bottom step before me, "If I like. Asked her out."
I was shocked. I had no idea he even liked, "Um..... I'm not sure dude." and honestly. I wasn't. I had no idea what she would say.  Deep down I think she would say no, but you can never be sure.
"Do you think you could find out? Cause if not I might ask out Bailey instead."
"Uhh.... Sure no problem." What... Why was he suddenly trying to get a girlfriend? What. I'm confused.
"Alright. See ya later man." Adam said as he headed down the hall way to get down to the locker room to get all geared up for football.
"See Ya."
I pushed the glass door open and walked out side.  I swung my key's around my finger thinking about what I have to do before tomorrow morning comes around.
"JASON!" I stopped... I looked to my left. No one.  I looked to my right.  Still no one, "Behind you smarty!"
I spun around.  Stella was sitting against the brick wall. Her jean covered legs streched out in the grass.
I laughed, "STELLA!" I walked over to her and stood by her feet.  She was smiling at me.  I smiled back.  I probably looked so lame.  Normally I would try to be cool and give that head nod then the easy goin smile but, with Stella I just can't help but immediately give that goofy smile.
"Well hey Stella. Didn't see ya there."
She laughed, "Yeah I could tell. You walked right past me."
I got a little embarrasses, "So. What are you doing?"
"Oh you know.  Just getting ready for my take off  in my rocket ship to Mars.  You know I'm gonna be there first human girl to ever go there." She gave a sarcastic smile.  A piece of her wavy brown hair fell from behind her ear.
"Ha. Funny." I gave a fake chuckle, "Why are you still here? Your car in the shop again?"
"No it's here. I drove it today." She shrugged her shoulders and looked down at her legs.  Her eyebrows were slightly pulled together, "Eh I'm just...," She paused for a moment then looked up at me, "I just didn't feel like going home just yet.  So, I'm just sitting here... By my self.  Pretty fantastic huh?"
"Oh well here," I tugged on the straps of my back pack and it fell to the ground with a muffled thud.  I sat down next to her, "Now you have me to sit with."
She gave a fake smile, "Greaaaat...." She said through her teeth.
"Oh. Ow."
She looked back and elbowed my side, "Kidding."
"I know I know."
She looked down and picked her phone up from off the ground.  I pressed a button and looked at the screen, "Ugh..... Stop texting me please." She said under her breath.  She put the phone down with out replying to it.
"Who was that?"
"Adam," She sighed, "He keeps texting me.... Honestly. Kinda getting on my nerves."
"Oh... You know. He wants to ask you out."
SHe blinked at me blankly, "....What." a mix of shock and nausea was clearly visible on her face, "He's ACTUALLY gonna ask me? He's not just saying that?"
I nodded my head, "He's actually gonna ask you."
"But... Why?!"
"Because," I tugged at the end of my shirt, "He likes you."
"Ok... He liked/asked me out last year.. Don't you think he would be over my by now? I'm not that special.."
"Oh Stella don't say that. You are special. You're awesome and amazing and beautiful and fun and pretty eyes and nice smile and," I realised too late that I had said slightly too much. . . Way to go Jason. . . . Just totally made it obvious that you like her.. Alot. But here is a huge list of things why anyone including Adam would just fall for her and never be able to get over, "-you know Adam. He never seems to learn anything involving girls."
"Oh... Yeah this is true. Adam is like that... But I don't like him."
"Ah. Is there another guy who has caught the fair maiden's eye?" I asked.. Why I suddenly started talking medieval. I have no idea.
She tilted her head, one eye brow raised curiously at me, "Maybe." She gave a smile, showing off her teeth.
"Ah. And who might the lucky fellow be?" I joked, but I got that nervous feeling in my stomach.
She didn't say anything. She just blinked, "Ok. Promise you wont laugh?"
"Of course I wont. Unless you say Larry Turtleman... Then I automatically get to laugh."
"EW! No.. He's too weird for me. That and he wears green every. freakin. day... Ick. But. Ok." She paused and messed with the ring on her finger, "I kinda, sorta, have a little bit of a crush on you. Maybe," I blinked. What. No. I'm still in English just having an extremely vivid day dream. This is too good to be true. She bit her lip and looked at me, "Yup... Actually. Its maybe a little more then a tiny bit." She admited, her cheeks turning a light pink.
I looked at her face.  Her hair was getting pushed by the slight warm breeze, covering the left side of her face.  I lifted my hand up pushing some of the hair out of her face.  I started to lean in slowly.  She gave a faint smile and bit her lip, she came closer completely closing the space between us. Our lips lingered there for a moment. Nothing too hot or anything. We pulled apart.
"Stella, if that didn't make it obvious. I'll say it as well... I like you too."
Stella smiled, "Yeah I think I got the hint." and she leaned in again.
