Its funny, high school is never like it is in movies. In the movies, the main character is an average girl (or boy... Lets go with girl here.) and they have a very boring life till BAM that one hot guy comes into the picture. There is a little awkward flirting, and he just falls for her. Yes there is a bit of conflict in the middle then she ends up getting the guy. Then everything is peaches and cream from there.
But that's just the movies.
Real life. There is that one hot guy that you see in the hall way or in your English class and you just get weak in the knees when you look at him. Now it can go two different ways here.
1. He doesn't even know you exist.
2. He is too popular and would rather go for the not-so-nice popular girls.
Well, if your lucky there is always a third option.
3. He DOES have return feelings for you
Lets say the movie was about you. If what was happening between you and HottieMcHotPants dude was option one. You would find a way to get his attention, and he would definitely notice you then. Then yall would fall in love.
If it was two. You would get popular some how, some way. Then, again with the falling in love and riding off into the sunset ending. Now, back to real life. If your that lucky girl and its option three meaning he actually DOES have return feelings. AWESOME!! Not gonna lie that's really cool. It's always nice to have someone like you. That immediate smile you get when you see their name pop up on your phone when they send you a text, or that butterfly feeling you get in your stomach when they smile at you.
Remember though, this isn't the movies. In movies, it ends right at the good part. In life. It keeps going no matter what. No stopping it, no rewind button, no pause button. No matter how much you wish it did. It doesn't. So naturally this little relationship thing is gonna end, probably in tears and shoving your face with ice cream... Ok, well the ice cream depends on a few things. Like if you where the who was dumped, or if it was just hard on you as well if you where the one who dumped the guy. Either way, ice cream is my suggested break up food for ANYONE. Especially Ben & Jerry's. They are the only men in your life that will always be there for you and wont leave, not even when you get fat.
Knowing ALL that. I still can't help but be slightly envious of the girls who walk around school holding hands with their boyfriend. I always seem to see those cute little pecks couples give each other before they go to their separate classes. I think about how I might look walking down the hallway holding hands with... the person i happen to like. Of course some people would notice. You just can't walk around school and people not see you. Even if you think you are completely invisible.
No matter how you look at it though..
High School is nothing like the movies.
